Her Story

Why She Chose Periodontics

Dr. Najmus Sahar did not choose Periodontics by accident. She chose it because she understood something that most dentists take years to recognise — that the majority of dental problems begin not in the tooth itself but in the structures surrounding it. The gums. The bone. The foundation.

During her clinical training, she saw patients arrive having been told their teeth needed to be extracted when, with the right specialist intervention, those same teeth could be saved. That gap between what was happening and what was possible became her purpose.

She pursued her MDS in Periodontics to close that gap — to become the specialist that patients could turn to when general dentistry had reached its limits, and when losing a tooth was not, in fact, inevitable.

“My goal is simple — that every patient leaves understanding their condition better than when they arrived, and trusting that what was recommended was truly what they needed.”

This philosophy shapes every consultation. Dr. Sahar does not rush. She explains diagnoses in plain language. She presents all options, including the option to wait and monitor.
